Qinna is the Chinese art of "seize and control." Instruction focuses on defenses against grabs, holds and chokes through leverage and the use of pressure points. "Freestyle" Qinna will be introduced as a way to practice applying holds and responding with counter techniques.
Traditional Push Hands
WL02 – Friday, 7:00 PM
"Push Hands" is a two person practice that is part of T'ai Chi Training. In this seminar students explore basic principles of leverage, balance and timing. Students gain sensitivity to both themselves, and to their opponent, and learn skills helpful for competing or fighting at close range.
